The SEED Project was launched under the auspices of a non-profit in 2010, to promote sustainability practices and food security in South Los Angeles and Cuba. In 2019, SEED incorporated as a benefit corporation, to confirm a commitment to sustainability goals and agriculture technologies that support food security. SEED is a portfolio company of LACI, the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator.
